The big advantage of an absorption cool box is that you have a cool box with no less than three different connection options. You can use the cool box as an electric cooler by connecting it to mains power (230V), as a 12 volt cooler and connecting it to the cigarette lighter of the car or as a cooler on gas. How does an absorption cool box work?
The absorption box is similar to the operation of a compressor cooler. The difference is in the number of used fluids. An absorption cool box uses two liquids instead of one: the coolant (usually ammonia) and the absorption liquid that works as a compressor. The advantage of an absorption cool box is that it works very silently and vibration-free.
Great cooling capacity
The Tristar KB-7147 Supercool 45EGP cooler is a wonderful example of an absorption cooler. This cool box can be used as a gas cooler, electric cooler and car cooler and has a large cooling capacity of no less than 25 degrees below the ambient temperature. You have to take into account that you do not place the cooler in the full sun and do not place it close to a heat source.
