Types of sundials

Frank distinguishes between two types of sundials. First of all, sundials are available in the form of a ball or hemisphere, which is often placed on top of a plinth. In addition, flat sundials are available that can be fixed on the floor, on the wall or on top of an elevation. These horizontal sundials are less expensive and therefore suitable for every budget.

A sundial made of copper, brass or bronze

The sundials of KS are of high quality and are hand made by hand by the Gildesmid. By using a combination of different metals, the blacksmith can determine, among other things, the weight, quality and appearance of the sundial. For example, copper has a reddish-brown color and brass provides a nice golden-yellow appearance. By placing this beautiful garden item on a pedestal you can also give it a central place in the garden. In this way the sundial not only captures a lot of looks, but also enough sunlight so that the time can easily be read. There are now more and more people who buy sundials to place around their homes.
