“We are very happy with the 2 lights purchased. We already had 5 and these two were used to complement the existing external lights. The existing lights have been there for several years and still look good However, there is a small design flaw in the light construction, and it took me over two hours to figure it out and complete the installation of the light. The base unit of the light has two bolts which project out. These are used to hold the main light body in place with the use of two nuts. However, the back of the base unit has a lip, which leaves a small space (millimeters) between the wall and the back of the bolts. When the base unit is mounted, the bolt can slip back to the wall, and thus not enough of the bolt protrudes through the for the nuts to take hold When I figured out the problem, it was fixed by taping a piece of card boad to the back of the base unit behind the bolt. This prevented the bolt slipping back and the nuts could then grip the bolt protrusion ok. Unfortunately it took me a few hours to figure out what was wrong A potential fix is to make the bolts a bit longer to allow for the lip at the back of the base unit or to put a similar lip around the back of the bolt holes in the base unit”
